I want to recognise myself in what I build

Working on my website has involved more decisions about words than I expected. The animation could be moving beautifully and I would still pause over a sentence. Did that sound like me? Did it help someone understand the person behind the work?

We tried a door, a signature, different particle formations, and different ways of introducing the story. Some ideas became clearer when I could see them. Others made sense in a description but felt too pronounced on the page.

The most useful progress came from keeping what felt right and changing one thing at a time. The introduction became more personal. The pages began to connect the engineer, the writer, the mentor, and the person still learning through faith and family.

I do not want a polished version of myself that leaves the real person behind. I want a place where these different parts of my life can belong together.

That is the reminder this work is giving me: presentation is useful when it helps people see more clearly. I can improve how I show up without inventing someone else to become.
